It’s been more than a year since I’ve written anything meaningful in this blog and even though I say I’m going to try to bring it alive, I don’t think I have a ‘strong’ passion for Japanese Illustrators and all that sort of stuff I used to be in.

I guess I’m just growing up.

So did you ever think I would ever, EVER, EVER COME BACK? Me neither. I was very doubtful ever since I kinda left the blogging scene and the gal gaming scene (THAT’S NOT EVEN REAL GAMING FFS).

Of course, we all have to start at some point, so get ready to hear of a story I tried to keep short but probably cannot due to OVERWORK FROM THE IB COURSE. More info on that @ ibquotes.com. Yes, all of that poodoo is legitimate and accurate. I checked it with OPVL.

CONTEMPLATION TIME. Oh, what have I been doing, disappearing into the midst of gaming. Well, yes, if you’ve seen before, I have went to the MMO gaming scene… particularily, S4 League for half that time.

I want to keep this simple, but the reason why I decided to give S4 another spin since it’s crash in patch 10, is because that there was a thread in Sakurahana that made me reminisce directed me back to the roots of my near 14 year old life. STAYING UP ALL NIGHT TO HOST ROOMS WHERE WE WOULD NOT STOP RUNNING WHAT WE LIKED. -nod nod-. Event stuffs too. I was the clan leader of Kanzenchie before it was fatefully abandoned in December.

Only then have I just broken off completely from this blog when winter break hit and I totally left this behind. The S4 League servers had a bug where your connection to a server would timeout because you would have a nonstop session running in that server, thereby, still thinking you’re in and you can’t get out. GHOST LOGGING, AHHH. My problem was that I logged a session of play into NA but then randomly disconnected, and when I logged on, I could not access the NA server (nor talk to the people cross-server), which caused me to move to the EU server to play. So yes, for a presumably long period of time in the month of December, I disliked what I saw in S4. And, as everyone should know, alaplaya is a bad game service, just bad, bad, bad. The community, not to my surprise was nonexistent. It was basically the ghetto of gaming community, there were hackers, there were AP abusers, the only way I got around just having fun is joining the high tier rooms (which I happened to be part of anyway). This goes out to all you S4 NA junkie players that used to run with me back when the server was small yet alive. The community I had brought up in NA freechan 1, I think it collapsed while I was gone, without me. That being, I should have just logged into my alt, right, and then just kept right on continuing to play where I wanted to: the NA server.

Anyways, this has to be its own chapter, but my friend Nicole deserves a special place in my wrought online biography from the day since I met her to the day she gave her account to her cousin in Anaheim. I’d have to say she was the single most pivoting point on if I was to stay in S4L or just quit. I met her in a room in NA when she decided to visit with her friend Platonic who came because all the rooms in the EU server were filled. We met, we chat, I asked her to join guild, she did, she told me she quit and gave me her account, I gave her mine, and so on then we were very much connected until she drifted into the world of Vindictus and pulled me in with her. The reason being, we’d always have these chats where it’d end up getting very intriguing and provide me with new outlooks on how a system should be run to benefit players on a service. Alaplaya failed in terms of that, and I hated to say goodbye to a game like S4L being developed by a niche developer, Pentavision.

But that’s not the case, since people in the channel usually think onp’s really that good to carry a team, and she IS THAT GOOD
but it’s just horrible for her since she gets the bad teams, which gives her TOO MUCH CHALLENGE against people like Angie and I paired up together

As you can see, yeah, basically conversations like those were what ultimately pushed me forward to leave S4L and move into Vindictus completely. Actually reading this gives me a sense of nostalgia. Anyways, yeah. We joined the same guild, Valkyrie, where I met many of my good friends I still have on WLM. That continued on for a while, and Vindictus community was serene. I liked the atmosphere in the West Server, and nearly everyone was calm and friendly to me, making me very intuitive to make a lot of friends and bring my old friends from S4 in to try it and play with me.

Sadly, Nicole is gone and interning in some facility at New York. I’m torn that she’s gone, but I at least get to hear from her cousin in Anaheim who now games on Vindictus, same server, and consistently teases me about his use of the DYE SHOP.

Oh, also, Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. It devastated me. It tore my soul apart, and I was online last night watching that stuff covered on Youtube. I cried that night.

Of course, however, the real meat to why I’ve started reviving a ton of my old accounts are due to, frankly, two friends that helped me get the bravery to look back at them. I know, it doesn’t take much gut to go log on, but I’m afraid of just going into an old account for some reason. Like, right now. I’m afraid to go log into my S4 account. What kind of people are gonna resurface in my online life that I’ve forgotten? But here we go. Shouts out go to K-tsu and Cookies, especially Cookies for reviving my damned k-pop soul from the dusty tomes of my spirit, and K-tsu for giving me a little bit of hindsight on how to pen down my thoughts in something such as my blog. Yeah, young blog of an enigmatic teenage kid, woohoo.

That means, I’m not going to be writing much anymore about Illustrators, I KNOW, I’m sorry, I’m just not much of an imageboard lurker anymore! There were some things on my wish list that I wish I could have completed, but no, I didn’t complete them, and for that month I felt like I accomplished a lot but I couldn’t stand much anymore, with the impending pressure of the IB course also on me.

This blog’s still going to be alive though, no matter what happens, I think. Maybe not as active as it used to be since now with this curriculum I can’t really even handle just getting enough time to… (mind is blank).

But yeah, I’m back, and not much of an imageboard person anymore, but that means now I’m going to be writing more about gaming. Say, maybe like how Micchi went from Mabinogi to what he does now. That sounds better. Not quite what I was aiming for, but better~

YEAH, THAT. Actually in my last blog post I did mention that I was going to play S4, but be aware of this, I NEVER ACTUALLY THOUGHT I’D BE ADDICTED TO IT. I’m not kidding. Actually, for some people, rank 35 takes a sheetload of time to get to. Rank 35. That’s a crapload of games. Crapload of sitting in front of the computer eating cup noodles with sweet and sour sauce and lemon juice in it, with more than enough strawberry pop to go around. MORE than enough. Well, this being, my blog won’t be updated as much, but if I’m going to be addicted to this game… god, so be it. So this blog… will… talk… about… S4 League! Shame on me. The every so often occasional blog of S4 League. I’m glad I signed up for S5 Source. Dunno if writing about S4′s going to increase my hits but I’m damn sure I’m going to do what I can.

Oh it HURTS. I must check the imageboards for everything I missed after Comiket. Must. See. And I’ve lost my fanboying blood too. I’ve LOST it. However, boards at S4 fansites like S5 (S4source) much like any animesque game, just emphasize putting up random anime pics, and I think I’m going to do that, actually. Sounds real fun.

That being said, umm, *freestyling off my mind here* I won’t be doing any more artist highlights until probably when I get into the ‘massive fanboy imageboard lurker’ mode again, but otherwise, my Japanese? It’s still being brought up, actually. In North American S4 Server, actually, there are Japanese players here and there. I usually talk about that on my msn, nowadays, if you want the latest on what I’m doing, go check out my msn, on the top there in the ‘About’ tab. I don’t really use my twitter anymore, feel like I’ve been stalking too many artists, maybe that’s why ‘Cradle’ blocked me, maybe I’ll remake my twitter again, I don’t know, but I’m afraid to look at the followers.

Oh how I miss being part of the crew. But ever since now it’s been like 2 months, I am, actually, QUITE the SKILLED at S4. Being addicted to it for 2 months actually has made me… yeah. I have like, NOTHING, to say, about that. I’m just addicted, that’s all… How many times have I said that? Pretty often, I think. I’m like a scientist on how weapons work. You go on S4 right now and ask me about how a certain gun works, I’ma try my best to like, help you out. Give long speeches, chances are. Like this blog. I like playing Hybrid Striker, it’s real fun.

Anyway, at the moment I’m supposed to be working on homework, but my next blog is PROBABLY going to be about S4 League. Just saying, man. DJ MAX did this to me. Beatmania did this to me. Can’t blame a fanboy’s interests. I’m sorry~ GOMEN.

The first thing I want to get off my chest is my schedule. Now, lemme clear this up, once again. If you DON’T KNOW THIS, and chances are YOU DON’T, then listen up~

• I’m a bay area person. We walk long distances from one place to another, usually. Well, I mean they’re not that long, but for me, walking throughout downtown might be a little tiring after a bit, but it is still definitely fun. That’s why I take my camera and take tons of pictures like I’m some tourist from France or somewhere. But… that would be a DSLR… and I WANT ONE. I like taking pictures. *sadface*
• 16 year old, and a GENIUS. Ok, fine, I’m not a genius. Go yell at me. Please. I need the frustration. (Myrre, I know you’re reading this) Anyway, I ended my last year, my SOPHOMORE YEAR, with 5 A’s and 2 B’s out of my 7 classes. Part because I aced most of the finals, and last July I scored around near 930 on the STAR (standardized testing and reporting thingy) ELA + Math thingy. This is what it means to be a Californian. I have pride, you know.
• I’m one of the… you can say, popular group with my peers. 2012 class. 2013 class is swarming everywhere. x~x But I’m close with the 2011 class (which is seniors) but yeah, it’s exhilarating to finally be an upperclassman. People treat you differently… well, I haven’t noticed a difference yet. Whatever. I’ll notice it soon! PROBABLY.

Now you’ve heard all that, I’ll go tell you my schedule. BTW, I’m an IB student. IB is this diploma program that gets you some college credits thingy and an IB diploma which is recognized by Universities and some stuff like that. I’m trying to get into a good UC. Which is my ultimate dream~ Anyway, you’ll notice the courses I’m taking to be some pretty advanced courses. Which is alright, you know, I can handle it~

1. Physics IB 1-2
2. History IB 1-2
3. IB English 1-2
4. World History 3-4
5. Spanish 1-2 (I would so take Japanese instead, but come on, this isn’t Japan)
6. Pre-Calculus

Will keep it simple as that. Yup, those are my courses, so take a look at them and whatever. Man, I’m saying that word a lot… whatever whatever whatever. Uwa Uwa Uwa. It was the 2nd day of school today. Felt alright. Now, to the meat of what I’ve been meaning to tell you guys lately.

I’M A LIAR. I forgot to tell you guys that I was addicted to S4 League, so I might educate you on that a little. Yeah, I know. I’ve been through that stage of S4 IS SO BORING! Yeah, before I was LonelyAmure, I used to have random names and play S4 all the time like a newbie and waste my PEN on clothing. Guess what. It’s not like that anymore for me. I’m actually winning these days. And S4 is way better than it was before. They let you play all maps from start now. No more grind. Oh yeah, and Chaser. Hm, hm. I will do a recap on what S4 is later, since the first time I ever heard about S4 was through DJ MAX, I’ll be honest about that. I love DJ MAX, but not as much as BEATMANIA IIDX!!!! That being said, I’ve picked out an artist to finally do another highlight. Tsukigami Lunar. This might go pretty well to be honest! I’ve learned a lot about her and her art style is pretty nice.

Ii-kun’s birthday is coming up. Unfortunately, it indeed is on Friday the 13th. NOOOOOOO!!! Kowai da yo! Kowai da yo! It’s alright though. Nevertheless I will wish him a unfortunate fortunate happy birthday!

They let me move in with the anime-sharing.com people. Solistrasora’s agreed to it, something like that, so I can move in with him and start blogging with him too. It’s just when I’ll do it, which isn’t in a long while. LonelyAmure @ wordpress.com seems pretty fitting for me as of the moment. :3

Ii-kun and I made a twitter bot and it’s name is 8booru. It basically is a bot that when you reply or mention to it, it gives you a yes or no answer. It’s pretty simple, alright. I just need to find some sort of way to promote it because well, it is a bot. Might share it via anime social networking sites. As it is, it’s an alright little creature. However…

There’s been a lot of updates going on my twitter. Particularily… I’ve been hanging around multiple places. That is, outside of large social networks. Lately, I’ve just been conversing with JI and Ii-kun is still jealous that I’m conversing with tons of Japanese Illustrators on the spot via twitter! But hey, it has its pains too. I gotta update that JITP list, which I’ve been doing lately.

Otherwise, not much has been going on. It’s been slow-going ever since school’s been coming up. Ach, and somehow, I just felt that this summer had blown away extremely fast. Still enjoy having a new computer though. I just need to buy the extra peripherals and also find a game that might rack me a bunch of popularity and also prove me some means of entertainment. I’m thinking of getting Starcraft II actually, but I’d have to save the money up and again, extra peripherals. I have a wired usb mouse right now, but it’s sort of… well you know. I want a Logitech M305, M505, or M705. Then I might need something like an N700 lapdesk… or that might be way too expensive. This VAIO doesn’t get that hot, really. I can see ASUS ROGs going to the extreme rate of heat. Have you seen those reviews on Amazon? Yeah, I thought so.

I’m attending Konami’s DDR PS3 launch party in Culver City, California on August 12! Will have to ask my dad if we can get down to Southern California though. My brother at the moment is also trying to get free tickets into there. I had my tickets already because I was one of the first up there after they tweeted it a couple minutes ago. Pretty awesome, no? Anyway, I just hope they give free copies of it. Either way, if they don’t or do, it’s still going to be very very fun. I mean, DDR on a PS3! They’ve always done it on PS2 but now it’s PS3! I wonder about the features of it. They might have named it just DDR PS3 because well… it’s DDR. And if you consider the capabilities of the PS3, DLC, Blu-ray, what not, there’s going to be a ton of content in Konami’s newest rhythm game. Ever-growing content.

Other than that, it’s pretty slowgoing. These days I’m usually on twitter or just messing around playing with my computer and downloading images a lot, which I’ve been doing a lot. Moe Imouto. Yup. Comiket 78 is still coming up, and again, I will cry. I really, really, REALLY wish I could go. Oh, but I’m too young, and it’s too crowded… maybe when I move to Japan’s Osaka or Nagoya… someday.

At least that means my EHDD will take a huge hit when dovac and his crew start scanning all of the doujinshi. Eep. NOW IF ONLY I HAD GENUINE ARTBOOKS IN MY HANDS!!!

Now… the reason why this post name is consistency is key is because I haven’t been blogging that much lately. I’m still trying to keep a record of blog about every 1-3 days. It’s still around there. I just hope that I don’t lose out on myself and start making this blog die. I love it a lot. This blog is a creation that loves me~ ~That’s right, Amu-kun~ So I will try my hardest to keep in touch with all you readers out there. Even if school is coming up and I won’t keep the 1-3 days consistent rate of posting on my blog. Ach, you know school. I really have to focus. This is my junior year in high school. I have to put my all into this because this will be the big move of either if I will make it into the universities I want to get into, or not. Hey, I’m ambitious, and Ii-kun, Sou-kun, Taijou-kun, Checkie, all my other friends out there, they know I want to be destined for great things. Yeah.

I promise I would cover this in my last blog post so let’s start. Japanese trends are picking up in Twitter. Yup, they are. More blogging and social services are now using twitter as a means of sharing in Nippon. Oh yeah, and that lunaticjoker picture was an accurate representation of cute Japanese girls I would date. They have good taste. I have a Sony VAIO EB. That pink one is a Sony VAIO CW (which costs more, yaa). They got Sony MDRXB700s.  Much love. Anyway, continuing on. *oh and that sundae looks so good*

So what is #yaplog? Well, yaplog is basically one of those blogging services in Japan like Ameba (Ameblo), livedoor, and fc2. It’s popular for idolism, and it’s sort of easy to use. You’ve got the standard template things, menus, sidebar, footers, headers, banners, and that little thing at the top~

yaplog! can be highly compared to a wordpress/livejournal-esque blog service. The target is mainly females who are very social and like to share things easily without a hassle on an easy to use and good looking engine. That considered, it’s a high place for idolism. Yeah, idolism. And idolism = popularity. If you see on alexa, yaplog rates as the 67th most streamed website in Japan. There are celebrities that use this engine. If you want to read more about yaplog! there is a wiki page about it, listing celebrities that use this engine and stuff among other things. Of course, that is, if you understand Nihongo. Good luck on that!

If you consider this factor, you can easily understand why yaplog! has spiked and became a twitter trend in Japan. yaplog! about a month ago in the beginning of July had updated a widget or gadget for their blog engine that lets users share their posts on twitters and automatically hash tags them with #yaplog. You merge that with a consistent rate of female bloggers that ‘fan-idol’ over certain yaplog! idols and celebrities, and you’re bound to have it become a twitter trend. Now, explaining about that.

#yaplog was not a hash tag that spiked out of nowhere and girls were raving over it like crazy. In fact, like most of twitter’s Japanese users, people were still getting around to using it. Twitter still doesn’t have that much of a Japanese base but it’s still escalating in popularity. Within 30 days, yaplog has slowly climbed to the top of twitter trends and dropped a short while after because it was taken over by those other trends by Brazilians and Americans. If you take a look at the trendistic charts, you’ll still see that yaplog still hangs around the small .00 percentages. But the reason it became a trend after not being a trend for a while was because it was accumulative and consistent. Of course, that also means that it already was taken over by the ‘super fast growing’ trends, which again, Brazilians and Americans were spiking.

Doesn’t mean it isn’t cool though. Again, Nipponjins love blogging. Microblogging, regular blogging, whatever. They just love it. Nipponjins are more of bloggers than Americans are, so to say. Anyway, yaplog! trends the most in the city of Kagoshima, the largest city in the southern island of Japan, Kyushu. You can see that on the twitter trendsmap here. English wiki says that Kagoshima, Japan is a sister city to Miami, so that should give you an idea of what kind of a place is Kagoshima. That is, excluding the bad stuff in Miami. Anyway, both cities are port cities and both are known for having hot climates. Both are also known to have a large fanbase for idolism. Duuuuuuuh. It’s Miami. Miami houses fangirls. The only difference is that Kagoshima fangirls are smarter than Miami fangirls. That’s it. Oh yeah, and not to forget, Kagoshima’s got a VOLCANOOOOOO!!!! Maybe they should have picked a sister city like Hawaii, but then again, Hawaii can’t fit that much fangirls.

Of course, now looking at the twitter trends map, Nipponjins are taking a look at the twitpic service and apparently that is why #twitpict is trending. Will get to that later, but as it is, concluding the post. Hope you like it!

As of the moment right now, I’m uninstalling stuff from my old laptop so there’s more space and I’m moving new stuff into my new computer. So far it’s been really smooth going and sleek. Though there’s only one thing I really REALLY want to do right now.

I wanna hack my Zune. No, not bring a hatchet to it, but I want to get into the workings of my Zune and add some pretty sweet stuff in, say like syncing from other kinds of players than just Zune player, which IMO does a real bad job of adding metadata. I’ll get into that later, and hopefully, once I complete that, I’ll have more time to cover on what I really need to cover on this blog…

…and that is… Japanese Illustrators. Oh you guys are wonderful, lol. Picking what I was thinking was going to be the most popular anyway because Amu-kun has such a high taste for writing about that. Yes, I will focus on Japanese Illustrators. Yeah you guys… I’ll do my best to pick out another illustrator to highlight because I’m having debates over which I should choose.

JITP is at a stall right now because I’m still moving stuff from one computer to the other. Japanese pop culture and trends once again, I might get around to doing it later probably covering one of the latest twitter trends to hit the charts around 2 days ago.

#yaplog. YES. Why the heck do people hash yaplog and don’t know what the heck it is? I will definitely cover it later though. As of right now though, I can tell you that yaplog is a blogging service just like ameba, ameblo, livedoor, fc2, tunabe and a whole lot of other blogging services in Japan. Yup, Yaplog.jp now supports twitter for all your microblogging, casual-blogging, and macroblogging (if really, you’re into that thing).

The certain model of the new computer I got is a Sony VAIO VPCEB24FXM/I. It’s white, sleek, and just… really cool. I’ll give you all the specs right now so you can have a chance to ‘spec’ulate. Oh yeah, and I took pictures but it’ll take around a week to do so. I never sync my camera. LOL

Ok, maybe not top grade, but I still am happy. This 3 year old laptop won’t hold on much longer for what I need to do which includes like having 20 tabs open at the same time, Photoshop (without the brushes pixelating), and a whole bunch of other stuff.

That means my dad’s going to be using this computer which works well for him and which he really likes. Of course, I’m going to have to clean out my drive so it’s easier for him, and that took up most of the day, really. Tomorrow I might be able to be up and write something extremely long like last time on my illustrator highlights but that’s not in chance of favor as of right now. There is still a ton of dark corners I never knew I had in my HDD (though I don’t save to it a lot since I have an EHDD).

Other that LonelyAmure getting a new computer, now we move to the sort of drastic news. Well… less drastic, but more like strange. Misaki Kurehito has blocked me via twitter, so I’m not allowed to list her or take a look at her updates without going to her page personally. It kinda pisses me off. The half bad things? That includes never getting around to doing an illustrator highlight on her because for one, that’s just rude (even if I am an English speaking foreigner), and if it was a mistake, it’s been more than long enough. Therefore Misaki Kurehito will stay indexed but keep a wary eye out of following her because she might be tolerant of having followers outside of Japan. I find it really strange, I really, really, REALLY do. The majority of Nipponjins that share a good, normal, consistent, happy life highly like westeners as fans like me, a Californian. I don’t know. I just don’t know. She might be different from other illustrators. She might abhor having fans outside of Japan. *shrugs* I’m not too sure about Ii-kun (Iggy), but I have a high suspicion that Kurehito blocked Iggy too, because I don’t see Iggy following her either. Don’t ask me if she blocks you, because I left a note on the index there. =<

Other than the bad news, I updated the list with a couple more people! Which is wonderful. JITP list is up to about 120 but I’m always looking for more. It hasn’t gotten as big as others but I’m still being patient with it.
